Terms of Use

The rules for using Oppsight during early access. Plain language, last updated October 21, 2026.

1. Who we are

Oppsight is provided by Jason Nixon, operating as Oppsight, Kamloops, British Columbia (“Oppsight”, “we”). By creating an account or using Oppsight you agree to these terms. If you use Oppsight for a company, you agree on its behalf.

2. Early access

Oppsight is new and in early access. Accounts during early access may be free in exchange for feedback. Features may change, and you may find bugs. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before any charge begins, and nothing is charged without your agreement.

3. Accounts and admins

Each company account has at least one admin. Admins invite and remove people, choose what each person can use, and can see each person’s activity, pipeline and usage in Oppsight. Everyone on an account is told this when they join. Keep your password private and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.

4. Your data is yours

Your client lists, pipeline, notes, call logs and files belong to you. We use them only to run Oppsight for you. We don’t sell them or share them with other customers. You can export your data at any time. Corrections you make to public business facts, like a new phone number, are checked and may be shown to other members.

5. Oppsight’s business data

Oppsight’s business database is compiled from government registries, open data, licensed sources and businesses’ own websites. You may use it for your own sales and business purposes. You may not resell it, copy it in bulk, or use it to build a competing database. We work hard to keep it accurate, but we can’t guarantee every detail is current.

6. Using Oppsight responsibly

  • Follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and privacy laws when you email, call or text anyone you find in Oppsight.
  • Use people’s details for work purposes only, and respect anyone who asks not to be contacted.
  • Don’t use Oppsight to harass anyone, for anything illegal, or to scrape or overload the service.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.

7. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time. Your account is then locked and kept safe for 24 months, so you can come back to it, and deleted after that. Ask us and we’ll delete it sooner.

8. No guarantees, and limits

Oppsight is provided as it is. We don’t promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for lost business or indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if you paid nothing).

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect.

10. The law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada. Questions: [email protected] or 778-910-2588.
