Privacy Policy
What Oppsight collects, why, where it’s kept and your choices. Last updated October 21, 2026.
Oppsight is provided by Jason Nixon, operating as Oppsight, Kamloops, British Columbia. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act. What we collect about members
- Your account: name, work email, company and role.
- Your work in Oppsight: the clients, lists, notes, call logs, messages and files you add.
- How you use Oppsight: searches, features used, and counts such as exports and web finds. Your company admin can see this.
- Support: what you tell us, and a short technical report (plan, connection, recent errors) attached to tickets. It doesn’t include your notes, pipeline or contacts.
Information about businesses and people at work
Oppsight holds business information and work contact details (name, job title, work email and work phone) gathered from public registries, open data, licensed sources, businesses’ own websites and members. We hold work information only: no home addresses, personal social media or personal phone numbers. Anyone can ask us what we hold about them, correct it, or ask to be removed or not contacted.
How we use it
To run Oppsight, keep it secure, answer support requests, improve the service and set fair plan limits. We don’t sell personal information and we don’t use it for advertising.
Where it’s kept, and who helps us
Our database is stored in Canada. We use a small number of service providers: Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (website delivery and security), Zoho (email), and, when you use those features, Brave Search (web finds) and GIPHY (GIF search), which receive only the search words. Payment processing will be added later and named here first.
How long we keep it
While your account is open, and for 24 months after you cancel so you can come back. Then it’s deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your choices
You can see, correct or export your information, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected] or calling 778-910-2588. We answer within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell members by email or in the app before it takes effect.
